A sat (or, less commonly, “satoshi”) is the smallest unit of Bitcoin. Just like the US dollar has cents, Bitcoin has sats. Because ZEBEDEE runs on Bitcoin, sats are used in all projects that leverage the ZBD API.
To help put sats into relative terms, please see the transformation between Bitcoin and the US dollar:
- 1 Bitcoin = 100,000,000 sats, and assuming a Bitcoin/USD exchange rate of 1 Bitcoin = $20,000, 1 sat = ~0.0002 USD.
